Community garden gets underway
Work has started on Hickling's new community garden - located on the vacant lot opposite the Barn entrance at the top of Mallard Way. A group of volunteers armed with spades, rakes and secateurs set about clearing the site. A compost bin was put in place and a final site plan decided upon.
The project is the brainchild of Anne Holloway and aims to create a special shared space for everyone in Hickling to nurture and enjoy. The site has already been visited by children from Hickling Infant School who helped with some weeding and were very excited about being able to create something special.
