Coronavirus update from the Barn management team
While we are still under government social distancing restrictions all events at the Barn and the recreation ground are currently on hold.
However, we are still hoping that the annual village show on July 26 will take place. You should have received your lists of classes with last month's newsletter. We are determined that a show of some sort will happen this year, even if we have to change the format or the date. If you have not yet done so, why not take a look through the categories to inspire your gardening and creative thoughts? If you have lost your copy, the full list is available here.
We are also keeping the village share-a-plate tea party in the diary for August 16. Scratby Donkeys have kindly pencilled in the date so there will be some extra special fun for village children after having such a difficult time during lockdown. We are hoping the church tower will be open, and that the annual parish walk will take place as well as the annual village cricket match. If restrictions are lifted by then this will be a wonderful opportunity for the village to come together again and celebrate the friendship and neighbourliness that Hickling has demonstrated so resoundingly throughout the coronavirus crisis.
